iTeachU have partnered with Linking Futures to develop a fully online Course that will empower you or your team to understand and apply Cultural Sensitivity in your workplace or personal life. 

Comprised of 4 modules representing different pillars of cultural awareness, it is designed for empowering yourself or your team on engaging with Indigenous Australians.

Cultural Understanding

In this module, you will discover:

  • How to see Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture, Country and Place, everywhere.
  • The living and working value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture, Country and Place, and its great diversity.
  • How to deeply and honestly engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • What the welcome to country and other protocols mean, and their real value.

Life Before Colonisation

In this module, you will discover:

  • How Aboriginal culture is deeply linked with place, and is based on enduring knowledge of how to live and live well in a particular place.
  • How Aboriginal culture is supported by dreamtime creators and creation stories, which provide a living link between past, present and future.
  • Insights into the nature of Aboriginal society and its living laws which Aboriginal culture supports, including how living knowledge is passed on from elders and others to young people.

Impact After Colonisation

In this module, you will discover:

  • What life was like for Aboriginal people before and after the arrival in their country of Europeans.
  • What it’s like to lose your connection with your land, your learning, your life.
  • How a shared future can emerge from a disputed past.
