Cultural Immersion Training Workshops

Nuriootpa & Bundaleer 19 - 27 May

We are excited introduce you to “The Pathway to Cultural Immersion”- an Aboriginal Cultural Awareness training workshop.

“The Pathway to Cultural Immersion” training events will be facilitated by Parry Agius, Founding Director of Linking Futures and Aboriginal Artist, Mel Agius who are proudly connected to the Ngadjuri, Narungga, Ngarrindjeri, Adnyamathanha and Wirangu Nations.

Linking Futures Pty Ltd is unique in the professional advisory services marketplace. We are a majority Aboriginal-owned professional advisory services company, providing cultural awareness and cultural safety training through our accredited training curriculum in a safe learning environment.

Parry and Mel bring their lived experiences, knowledge and expertise to create a safe learning environment for all. Regardless of your level of knowledge from beginner to experienced, this training will provide you with:

  • A better awareness and understanding of First Nations Peoples and Cultures, especially in South Australia
  • Learning the effects of past and present and how you can contribute to acknowledging our theme ‘walking in two worlds’, at a local level.
  • Engage with Ngadjuri facilitators through sharing stories about Culture and life experiences
  • Deep learning through interactive activities
  • Access to quality Cultural Awareness training
  • Participate in meaningful discussions

Each session will include a light meal or refreshment.

Please bring a paper and pen with you.

Nuriootpa training sessions will be held at Barossa Campus University Centre,  Level One, Chateau Building – Beckwith Park, 30 – 38 Barossa Valley Way

Bundaleer training sessions will be held at Maple and Pine, 45 Springs Road, Bundaleer North

Nuriootpa Training Sessions

Choose between full day training sessions, or introductory training sessions. Introductory training session are 2.5hrs in duration and will provide an option for those who are unsure if this is right for them or who have busy schedules and may not be able to attend a full day training.

  • Barossa Campus University Centre, Level One, Chateau Building – Beckwith Park, 30 – 38 Barossa Valley Way

Session Dates:

  • Thursday 19 May – 10.30am to 1pm (Introductory Training Session) – lunch provided
  • Thursday 19 May – 5.30pm to 8pm (Introductory Training Session) – light evening meal provided
  • Friday 20 May – 9am to 4.30pm (Full Day Training Session) – lunch & refreshments provided

Bundaleer Training Sessions

Introductory training sessions only. Introductory training session are 2.5hrs in duration and will provide an option for those who are unsure if this is right for them or who have busy schedules and may not be able to attend a full day training.
